Are you following too much?

June 20, 2012

When you read too much of someone’s creation without trying to building something of your own, You become his follower. He will remain your leader. You might stop thinking on your own. You might start looking for all answers in his writing, book, blog, talk, text, message, links etc….

He is successful. A cult/tribe is created. A leader is found. Ideas resonate. Sparks fly. Dreams hatch. You get used to waiting for something new. Since you look at this source the most, you will get everything as a pleasant surprise. Finally, you use less of your brain, less of your creativity and develop even lesser interest in other subjects than that of your leader!

Is this good? Definitely not, for everyone. There are so many creative people around. One is within you. Once you get that out, find a subject of interest. Then find, read/follow as many great leaders as possible on the topic. Now the fun begins. You might develop your own view on the subject. Create own art and enjoy sharing the same.

Follow the leader with a guide/map in your hand. Subject be yours. Teachers be many. You will become a student again and move towards becoming a master soon!

Create as much as you consume. Good for health, economy and the rest!
