Sieve

The way ahead retreats in fear.
The shortest route feels far too long,
True strength appears as frail and wrong.
Pure hearts seem stained by earthly ties,
Steadfast souls can compromise.
Clarity hides in shadows deep,
And artless art, its secrets keep.
Great love appears as if aloof,
Wisdom dons a childlike proof.
Invisible, he nourishes all,
Unseen, yet answers every call.
The mind, a sieve, filters all things,
What stays or falls, completeness brings.
Common rock

Pursued, yet locked away?
Or like a rugged, common stone,
Respected in the open day?
In harmony with nature’s song,
Under a sky so clear,
With wings of freedom, fly along,
Far from lonely glitter’s sneer.
Away from envy’s sparkling snare,
Be part of something grand,
Embrace what life will bring to bear,
By your own choice and hand.
Be what you want to be, my friend,
Accept what life may send,
This is the way your path will bend,
A journey without end.
