When the Mirror Cracked

It wasn’t always like this.

But lately, I’ve begun to notice it more — the tremble in my breath, the tightening of the jaw, the sudden flush of heat when things don’t go as I’d hoped. Not with the world outside. I’ve made peace with its chaos. It’s the people closest to me that stir the storm.

Surrender

The mind, a tool to drive our quest,
Towards the goals we hold with zest.
But once we reach that sought-for place,
It’s time to yield and seek heart’s grace.

To heal, we open hearts anew,
Like finding doctors who’ll see us through.
In trust, we must surrender whole,
For healing comes with letting go.

Hold not back, nor wander far,
For wisdom’s found right where you are.

Enough to start the journey, to the plan.

A whisper small, a sign along the way,
Guides us forward, to where dreams may lay.
Embrace the journey, through joy and strife,
For surrender marks the start of fluent flight.
