Fear
Joy tide

Between the dance of joy and the grip of fear.
Joy flows freely, through time it roams,
In past, present, and futures unknown.
It gleams in memories, warm and bright,
Lives in the now, a radiant light.
It dreams ahead, with hope in its stride,
A boundless force, no need to hide.
But fear is bound to a single place,
The future’s shadow, a fleeting trace.
It dwells in “what ifs” that cloud the mind,
Yet leaves the present and past behind.
Choose joy, the traveler of all time’s streams,
And let fear fade, like fleeting dreams.
Fearful hope

Two sides entwined, a bond held dear.
The farmer sows, his heart at ease,
Yet fears the drought, the blight, disease.
Hope fills his heart, it lifts his way,
With wings that bear him day by day.
The higher he soars, the harder he tries,
Like medicine’s taste, bitter but wise.
In hope he labors, free from rest,
His spirit’s aim, a soul possessed.
For faith’s true strength, both fierce and kind,
Lives where hope and fear entwine.
