Animal Instinct

November 5, 2024
When animal nature stirs within,
And words are woven deep in skin,
We hold both silence and the speech,
A gift that lingers out of reach.

For when a friend speaks not a word,
His soul’s own whispers still are heard,
A ceaseless voice that, soft and true,
Conveys the heart that beats in you.

Silent Song

November 4, 2024
Your heart’s true intent, a silent song,
Needs no words to carry along.
When purpose speaks with gentle grace,
All else fades, it leaves no trace.

Fearful hope

November 3, 2024
To have faith is both hope and fear,
Two sides entwined, a bond held dear.
The farmer sows, his heart at ease,
Yet fears the drought, the blight, disease.

Hope fills his heart, it lifts his way,
With wings that bear him day by day.
The higher he soars, the harder he tries,
Like medicine’s taste, bitter but wise.

In hope he labors, free from rest,
His spirit’s aim, a soul possessed.
For faith’s true strength, both fierce and kind,
Lives where hope and fear entwine.
