What’s in Silence

Speaking the truth when sound drifts away.
What’s in the tone, a whisper, a guide,
When words fall short, it’s the soul inside.
What’s in the lips, unspoken yet true,
When the eyes can’t tell, they reach through to you.
What’s in the mind, when the heart grows frail,
A strength that endures when all else might fail.
What’s in you, when the world seems to fall?
The light that rises, the answer to all.
You win with the world, but the secret to begin:
Make others shine, and the world will win.
The Day one

Focus on work, not applause.
Be rooted in self, but not selfish,
Hold love, but let go, as they wish.
Am I hearing sounds without song?
Missing notes where silence belongs?
Am I here to wonder, not just wander,
A questioner, an eternal ponder?
If this truth must guide my run,
Isn’t it better I know, Day One?
